Rockwall-Forney Dam is located in Dallas, Texas in the counties of Dallas and Kaufman on the East Fork[2] of the Trinity River. It was constructed to create the Forney Reservoir and is named after the towns of Rockwall and Forney. Dams are generally named after the closest town(s) near the structure.
