The Tripoli Council ...
Introduction
[edit]The Tripoli Council was formed to run the affairs of the Libyan capital city, Tripoli in August/September 2011. This was after Libyan Feb17th revolutionary forces and the local Tripolitanian population managed to wrestle control of the city from the Gaddafi regime officials.
The Tripoli council was formed in co-ordination with the NTC, with the first few members having worked, often in a clandestine way, with the NTC in Benghazi during the February 17th, 2011 Libyan revolution.
