Star Trauth American artist new article content ...Star Trauth(nee Smart) (born in Cincinnati, Ohio 1970) is an American artist who has lived and worked in Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida since 2013. Prior to that she lived in The Cincinnati Tristate Area of Edgewood, Kentucky.

Early Life Star was raised in the seventies by parents who chose a hippie lifestyle of migrant farming and living communally. With them, she traveled through 28 states before the age of seven. During this time, Star experienced many colorful geographic spaces and rich cultures. Star set off on her own at a relatively early age and immersed herself in the counterculture of her generation. She found she was comfortable amid the punk rock movement and tumultuous political currents of the times. A solo trip to New York City and London introduced Star to the amazing works of street artists and street culture.
