About me

Welcome to my user page! I'm Wesley Mead, a 25-year-old British IT worker. You can learn more about me from my userboxes, a selection of which are shown to the right.

You can e-mail me at wesley@wesleymead.co.uk, and AIM or ICQ me at 218030382.

I'm interested in TV, DVDs, music, magazines and print media, the Internet and British politics.

I maintain several documents at The Simpsons Archive [1].

Politics

I support the UK Labour party. I consider myself centrist.

This quiz puts me on the borderline between liberal, statist and centrist; Political Compass puts me at economic left/right -2.98 and social libertarian/authoritarian 0.36.

Wikipedia

Previously I contributed under 82.33.77.141 and before that 82.33.74.57. I finally registered this accout on December 9, 2005.

I've been browsing quite a while but I'm not much of a experienced editor, so be gentle. :-) I'm a Wikipedia inclusionist believing TV episodes, album tracks, villages and schools all deserve articles.

I have around 250 pages on my watchlist; as of March 3rd 2006 I've made around 800 edits according to Kate's editcount tool, around half of which are in the main Wiki namespace.

This user is a Wikipedian in the United Kingdom.
The motto of the WITUK is Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense, which translates to, "Let him be shamed who thinks ill of it".
This motto reflects a key Wikipedian desire, and is a reference to the British 'Order of the Garter'.

There are things particularly relevant to British Wikipedians at the UK Wikipedians' notice board.
