FileCloud is a software for enterprise file sharing, sync, and backup. Users can self-host data on-premise or on cloud. Features include control over data ownership and governance offered across private, public and hybrid clouds.[1][2]
History
[edit]The first cloud storage product launched by the parent company CodeLathe was Tonido for personal storage, back in 2013.[3]
Future software upgrades included ransomware protection[4], breach intercept[5], and data leak protection[6].
FileCloud founder and CEO Madhan Kanagavel bootstrapped the business, after initially having faced rejection from VC firms.[7]
FileCloud was recognized by Gartner in its Magic Quadrant for Content Collaboration Platforms report.[8]
