Bun in the Oven[edit]
Bun in the Oven is a commonly used phrase to tell family members and friends that you are pregnant. Normally used by the mom-to-be to surprise the husband.

Originating in the 20th century in a book by Nicholas Monsarrat called Cruel Sea

This has caused a craze over Facebook and other social media sites having couples creatively come up with an idea to tell their family.
