Douglas Lee Loverro (born May,11 1954) is an aerospace and policymaker on retirement, who served as NASA's Associate Administrator for Human Exploration and Operations (Artemis program, Commercial Crew Program, SpX-DM2, US part of the International Space Station) from December 2019 to the 18 of May 2020[2]
From december 2019 to May 18, 2020 he replaced Ken Bowersox as head of NASA's Human spaceflight. [3] While his predecessor in this function, William H. Gerstenmaier in February of 2020 went to SpaceX as a consultant, as the company prepares to launch astronauts for the first time. Where Elon Musk will recognize that not just a manned Lockheed Martin F-35 is outdated by Disruptive innovation[4]

From 1997 to 1999 he was program director of Advanced Systems, Space and Missile Systems Center. From 1999 to 2002 he was program director, Global Positioning System, Space and Missile Systems Center . From 2002 to 2006 he was program director, Future Imagery Systems at National Reconnaissance Office. From 2006 to 2007 deputy director for system technology at the National Reconnaissance Office . From 2007 to 2013 he was managing director of the Space and Missile Systems Center and deputy program manager for space.
In 2017 he was retired and became managing director of Loverro Consulting, LLC. [5] Douglas Loverro was a space thinker in the United States Department of Defense.
In 2017, after his transfer to retirement, he was won over for tasks at NASA.[6]
