Her doctorate work focused on Hydrogen production by halobacterium halobium, for which she received India’s National Young Scientist Award in Biochemistry. Her publications on this work have been cited in several books, journals, and reports published by governments, including a report from the United States Department of Energy.[1] Her work on anti-cancer drugs has also received worldwide attention and, amongst other citations, has been referenced in a report published by the World Health Organization.[2]

In 2002, Dr. Pandya founded Risk Group LLC, a global risk advisory think tank that focuses on risk centric critical thinking and objective evaluation of nations, their governments, industries, organizations, and academia.[3] From 2004 to 2007, she served as founder and chief editor of the e-journal Risk Management Matters, which was the first global publication on industry risk.

In addition to her research and writing, Dr. Pandya has also spoken about her risk assessment philosophy at numerous conferences, including those hosted by the World Future Society, National Science Foundation, United States Department of Commerce, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and APEC.

She is the author of The Global Age: NGIOA @ Risk, published by Springer in 2012.[4]
