Yøji, born and raised in the Philippines before relocating to Sydney, Australia, in 2009, emerged from a childhood in the trenches where violence and underage drinking were the norm. His early exposure to the gritty narratives of Tupac, Biggie, and 50 Cent laid the foundation for a musical journey that evolved with the changing landscape in 2016. Inspired by Juice WRLD, XXXTENTACION, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Lil Uzi Vert, and Ski Mask The Slump God, Yøji's eclectic taste extended to EDM with influences from Skrillex, David Guetta, Avicii, and Midnight Tyrannosaurus. Additionally, he drew inspiration from rock, country, emo-pop, and anime J-pop, instilled by his father's diverse musical preferences, encompassing Jim Croce, Queen, Elton John, and Eric Clapton.

Yøji's musical ventures began at home with a basic setup, utilizing a cheap microphone and the DAW "Soundtrap." High school marked the experimentation phase on GarageBand, Then moving to Fl studio, transitioning from beats to rapping. It wasn't until 2020 that Yøji, fueled by newfound dedication, decided to take his music seriously.

In 2021, Yøji crossed paths with Fatsonthat and Yooshipalace, leading to the production of unreleased tracks like "Astro ft Kidkape" and "Cellphone ft Kidkape (Prod. Yooshipalace and Fatsonthat)." This collaboration reunited him with Fatsonthat, a familiar figure from his skate park days.

The following year, Yøji graced the stage alongside renowned artists like Creed tha Kid, Phi11a, Kidkape, Samjay1k, and Yxngkidda, performing hits like "Cellphone." The same year introduced him to Sarps1, resulting in collaborative tracks "Hype It Up" and "Pretty Lies." Yøji's discography boasts singles such as "Actin sus" (now deleted), "Broken," "Comeback Around," and the album "UNKNOWN." Notably, he was featured in works by Fatsonthat, Yooshipalace, Samjay1k, and Sarps1.

Yøji's songwriting style is marked by freestyling, a raw expression of emotions and experiences from his past. Beyond music, he was an avid gamer, immersing himself in titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Valorant, particularly enjoying the camaraderie with friends.

With a dream to support his family's retirement and uplift his hometown, Sorsogon, in the Philippines, Yøji's journey is an amalgamation of diverse influences, genuine self-expression, and an unwavering dedication to his craft.
