Zeek is an israeli startup, founded in 2013, who allows to sell unwanted gift vouchers and buy store credits at a discount. Zeek is a mobile application running on Google Android and Apple iOS softwares. In june 2014, the application is only available for the israeli market. Zeek own the processus of real-enhanced-time transfer from physical gift vouchers to digital versions.
Overview[edit]
Zeek offers a market of store credits, real-time updated by the users, with a unique API, who allows transfers from physical store credits to digital versions. This processus is also based on a real-time location and verification, both for the user and the company who own the store credit, to make the checkup processus easier and safe for everyone. This specific transfer is working for all types of vouchers: gift cards, gift vouchers and store credits. Every digital version of vouchers made through the application is available in stores. The API is running with Javascript and Couchbase frameworks, to enhance security and privacy.

Zeek was founded by Daniel Zelkind, Itay Erel, Ziv Isaiah and Uri Levine, the founder of Waze, in 2013. The idea came from Itay, who got married and got a lot of unwanted gifts. Then he returned them to shops and got store credits, stored in his wallet. After a year, these store credits went straight to the trash. This is how Zeek idea was born.
