Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy paste. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Hi Fabullus, thank you for taking the time to clean up this article. Do you know if this is the same place as Zeno akkose‎? Regards, Accurizer (talk) 23:46, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zeno akkose[edit]

Thank you for commenting at Talk:Zeno akkose. For future reference, a better was to express that is with Template:Prod2, which indicates on the article that another user supports the deletion. Cheers, Reywas92Talk 15:49, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is probably interesting enough to be in there if done right. If accurate it demonstrates an amalgamation of some Greeks and Turks when the region was overrun in the 10th? century by the Turks. What would be nice is a table of the Turkish words derived from the Greek words showing the equivalences. The article needs work no doubt. I don't feel qualified to do it. If it gets deleted then maybe you should do a nice work-up offline and then dump it in again as a new article. A good article need an intro, a picture if you can find one, notes, see also, external links, since it is a location, an infobox with the coordinates - you can look at plenty or articles on Turkish communities, some history and geography. It might not have to be much longer than it is. Don't forget the categories, but you can take those off another article.Dave (talk) 14:57, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Attic Greek[edit]

Hello Fabullus, I think it is fabulous you picked this up. Apparently what I said was not so clear. I just barely remember saying it. I always meant to get back to the dialects but there are just so many deficits in all the new articles that have sprung up I was never able to. Here is what I think I meant. There are many examples of the ss/tt allomorph (I think that is what it is) and traditionally thalatta/thalassa has been one of them. But then I looked at Beekes and saw dalmanchan so I was no longer sure that the ss/tt mechanism applied. Maybe this was not an example of the allomorph but of something else. Beekes does not say and I could not say. So right at this moment without further explication of Dalmanchan I would just cut that sentence out. When in doubt leave it out. Again, I was beginning to wonder if Greek dialects were of interest to anyone at all except me so I am glad (I think) you picked it up.Dave (talk) 13:42, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
