Johnny B Goode

Hi! Johnny B goode was developed from a similar song origionly played by a highscool band called The Starlights that played at a event that Chuck Berry was present at. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.29.210.254 (talk) 21:28, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't Chuck, anyway, it was Marvin "your cousin Marvin Berry, hey you know that new sound you were looking for... well listen to to this!" Basket Feudalist 13:54, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. Point me to a verifyable source that says your "Marty Mcfly"[1] wrote Johnny B Goode, and I'll believe you. Until then I'll stick, like the rest of the world, with Chuck Berry. Yinta 21:34, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Add it to the article then, it's no use here :)  Yinta 13:35, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ramsey Grammar School

Just changed one of my edits to Ramsey Grammar School Page. Fully referenced. Not Vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.18.138.75 (talk) 11:25, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that being a gamer and "Self Proclaimed Hyper Carry" isn't enough to be listed on Wikipedia. Please check out WP:NOTABILITY.  Yinta 11:28, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tobey Maguire

Greetings. Lots of silliness going on this morning.  FrostedΔ14  12:48, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can say that again...  Yinta 12:49, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your correction to Schenectady

Just wanted to say that your corrections to my edits were ASTONISHINGLY FAST. Well done. I planned on deleting them as soon as I took a screen shot. Childish, I admit. Either way, VERY WELL DONE on your part. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.154.119.64 (talk) 13:02, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but next time you want to play, use the sandbox at WP:SANDBOX, please.  Yinta 13:25, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppets of TheRedPenOfDoom

I think User:TheRedPenOfDoom have multiple accounts. here proof[2] i don't no how to report this. Ventagecollection (talk) 14:04, 21 April 2013‎ (UTC)[reply]

Also User:Truthdrive and User:Thilakan 1980 because both these users are only editing and promoting the article Kamal Haasan here, here. Can you report this i am waiting for your reply. Ventagecollection (talk) 14:16, 21 April 2013‎ (UTC)[reply]

You can report puppets yourself at WP:SSP but I'm pretty sure you're completely wrong. Certainly in The Red Pen's case.  Yinta 14:21, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ok if you're completely sure that was wrong. i am not going to report this. Ventagecollection (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:10, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: April 4

Hi, I believe that you've included too many deaths in 2013 for April 4. You've included about 10 whereas for most others there are only one or two, if any. There is a separate section for deaths in 2013, so only include more notable deaths.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.148.144.82 (talk) 16:00, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't include them, I reversed your unexplained removal of them.  Yinta 16:05, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

deleted an edit

You have definitely made a mistake, I have never edited anything on Wikipedia. Mostly because I dont know how. Please recheck your records. Apparently someone has made an error or cloned my IP Address..

Thank You — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.137.209.37 (talk) 18:48, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You probably have a dynamic IP address. Yinta 19:13, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Beirut and Metro Airport

Hi! I took a look at this removal.

The thing is, the press makes a point of saying that a significant amount of business into the airport comes from Beirut, even if there are no direct flights there (whatever the figure is, the press thinks it's significant). The importance of an aspect is partly based on how much secondary sources talk about it. Even though one can say there are other cities where connecting passengers may go, the press emphasized Beirut, so therefore information about passengers going to and from Beirut belongs in the article. The question is: Where is the best place? I believed that the best place was in the destination list. Thank you, WhisperToMe (talk) 19:52, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oh... I think what contributed to the deletion was that I had forgotten to put in the word "daily" - 40 or 50 people per day come from Beirut. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:58, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, that's it. :)  Yinta 20:45, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha :) WhisperToMe (talk) 20:47, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Although I must admit, if I had checked the text better... I made some poor decisions that day.  Yinta 20:55, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ringstead

Hello Yintan, You removed a piece of content we just submitted to wikipedia for reasons unknown? The places just listed are renound in Ringstead and are a large part of ringstead village life and cover 2-5ths of the grounds of ringstead, what improvements could you recommend so that we can update the Ringstead Page. Ringstead PC info@firemountainbusiness.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.4.161 (talk) 11:36, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your comments were biased and introduced commercial links[3]. Please check out WP:NPOV and WP:EL. Thanks.  Yinta 11:41, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ok so the few lines above about the working mens club are not commercial then??... and the village club? and even the sports teams? Im sorry but I cant see how this would be classed as biased as I have no attachment to the links i suggessted, I live in ringstead and it seamed silly to me that the content I supplied was not included. Are you a Ringstead Resident? If thats that then thats ok but I strongly feel that the information provided gave a bigger insight to ringstead, sheading light on a very large boating community that thrives within Ringstead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.4.161 (talk) 11:52, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Where I live is irrelevant, you simply have to follow the guidelines I mentioned in my previous answer if you want to add information to articles. That's all there is to it.  Yinta 12:08, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Udhayam NH4

I'm Pirai from chennai, recently i watched the film in theatre and i've submitted my view on this page.

A lot of good audiences checking this page and reading the reviews frequently, i want to say the original review. Can you please provide the source says postive review of this film. Please dont cheat the readers as of now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.203.175.175 (talk) 12:01, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Pirai. I'm afraid your personal view on the film[4] is not good enough for Wikipedia. Your review has to be sourced and neutral. There's more information on this at WP:SOURCE. Cheers,  Yinta 12:08, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A few points to consider

Ok thats fair enough, so your not going to comment on the fact the other information on the page could be viewed as commercial points of interest?

Also the person that just made a comment above "Pirai from chennai" you stated his sources have to be "sourced and neutral" there is no such thing, every single person in the world who writes a review on something be it a film or a kettle is automatically going to have their own opinions this is part of what makes us human, and if every review had to be sourced then there would be no such things as reviews as there would be nothing to source from, also what also makes a review is the point of view of ther reviewer so if it has to be sourced this isnt going to be a unique point of view from the reviewer but a derivative from someone elses point of view which too would also have to be sourced?

And im sorry but where you live is relevent because if you lived in ringstead you would see why I tried to include the content i did, You not knowing the area makes it more prominent that you should not be administrating a page of which the content you have no idea what its about.

Just a few things to consider. This will be my last post. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.4.161 (talk) 12:23, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.  Yinta 12:29, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Street Painting

You keep removing my Michael Kirby edits on the street painting page. This is a valid edit. He is a street painter. His website can be found here with more information. http://www.michaelwkirby.com/ Please stop removing my edits to the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rflipton (talkcontribs) 13:02, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As other editors have already pointed out to you, mr. Kirby is 'not notable'. Please read WP:BIO. Thanks,  Yinta 13:04, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Who made you the judge of that? There are plenty of pages with incorrect information. Mr. Kirby happens to be a very notable artist with tons of experience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rflipton (talkcontribs) 13:09, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you're convinced he passes the WP:BIO requirements (because that's the judge) then I suggest you start an article about him.  Yinta 13:13, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is a Wikipedia page about him -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Kirby_(artist) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rflipton (talkcontribs) 13:23, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Then why don't you just link to that, instead of adding external spam links to other articles?  Yinta 13:33, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I thought I did — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rflipton (talkcontribs) 13:34, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nope[5].  Yinta 13:40, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

London Borough of Sutton entries

HI - I've only edited one thing before - I work for the London Borough of Sutton and was asked by someone to check on accuracy of entries. I appreciate that naming London Borough of Sutton with phone number is not considered appropriate so thanks for pointing out. I am putting in opening hours of the historic houses which I hope is acceptable or would it be better to attach a URL or is that allowed? cheers, Kath Shawcross, Borough Archivist & Local Studies Manager, LB Sutton — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.28.137.190 (talk) 13:30, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kath. Adding the URL of an official Borough of Sutton site (if there is such a thing) is fine, adding other links could be a problem, depending on their content. More info about that is available at WP:EL.  Yinta 13:37, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Slave to the Big Issue

Yintan, thank you for your message. I thought the Wiki liked to publish facts, clearly that is not the case in this instance.

That said, I'll not bother contributing further. I'm guessing you already heard this so many times now, that is why you are so hot on the edit button. When sufficient people cry rape - that is a weight of evidence by which rational people can be confident that something isn't what it appears.

Sleep well and have nice dreams. Just never forget, next time you spot a Big Issue seller, he or she is really a slave. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.176.148.241 (talk) 15:20, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To publish facts the wiki needs verifyable sources. All you did was adding your opinion ("The fat cats at Big Issue are getting rich off the back of a modern day slave trade"). Get the sources and update the article, fine, but if you claim this sort of thing you have to be able to back it up.  Yinta 15:24, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
