Heads-up on archive-bot blocking condition and how to fix it

This is just a heads-up, to let you know about a situation that can block the Sigmabot archiver, and how to resolve it. The triggering condition appears to be the presence of a section header within the top material, before the bot config code.

At Talk:Trans woman, the archive bot appeared to be blocked from doing its job, and the page kept getting bigger and bigger. I noticed that an editor had introduced a Talk section with a regular, == Level 2 header == within the scope of the normal Talk page header stuff; see for example the wikicode in this version. I suspected that this was blocking Sigmabot, and performed this edit. Notice that within 24 hours, Sigmabot visited the Talk page five times, archiving 300kb of discussions, into archives 3, 4, and 5, which resolved the problem. Yes. But if the bot were to archive that page, what should it do? Move the archive template to the archive? Σσς(Sigma) 19:48, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

Bot archiving to wrong old archive not current?

Looking at Talk:List of Doctor Who episodes (2005–present) this bot seems to currently be archiving recent discussions to Talk:List of Doctor Who episodes (2005–present)/Archive 1 rather than the newer Talk:List of Doctor Who episodes (2005–present)/Archive 16. @Nfitz: That is because Alex 21 removed counter = 16 [1], and Archive 1 is below maxarchivesize = 70K. I have set counter = 17.[2] PrimeHunter (talk) 04:49, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
