Spelling

[edit]

Hello. Thanks for your contributions towards copy editing articles. However, I notice you have "corrected" some spelling that didn't need corrected, particularly, words that differ between different versions on English (see WP:SPELLING). Be aware that Wikipedia is not an American encyclopaedia (or even encyclopedia!) therefore spelling in articles do not automatically default to US spelling. WP:ENGVAR gives guidance on how we should spell variant words. Welcome once again, and thanks for contributing! Rockpocket 07:49, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here is a WikiCookie for you for being a nice person and correcting my spelling errors! I need to download Open Office on my laptop and actually use it to catch my errors before throwing them out to the world to see. Until then I will still make mistakes 'cause I like typing and editing better than opening up my email and using the clunky spell check.

What do you like to write about?

Thanks for helping out.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
