Welcome!

[edit]

Hello! I noticed your contributions to Hurricane Isaias and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).

Information icon Hello, I'm ComplexRational. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Hurricane Barry (2019) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. ComplexRational (talk) 14:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Hello, I'm Chlod. I noticed that you recently removed content from Typhoon Goni (2020) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The content you removed is due weight and sourced content. The direct impact of the related paragraph is shown in the sources. Chlod (say hi!) 05:31, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Then you need to put Goni affected this or how this affected Goni's impacts. You can't expect users to look in the source to find out User:Chlod. 108.35.187.79 (talk) 20:42, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you find a problem, then you need to fix it instead of remove it. There was also a glaring comment indicating that the part only be removed after discussion, which you failed to look at. Next time, please check the included commends before deleting parts of the page, as they can clearly explain the reasoning behind the existence of that section. Look Chlod, not everyone knows HTML as you (and I) do. The IP could've easily looked over the HTML comment and took it as part of the text. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 23:10, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Even with the Visual Editor, the comment pops up as a box indenting the removed text. In source, it's just to obvious not to notice. Either way, I'll give the IP the benefit of the doubt. I've already inserted the reasoning of why there was an effect on the article itself, which the user who inserted the statement failed to provide earlier (since the sentence was initially made for Typhoon Vamco, not Goni.) Chlod (say hi!) 23:20, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well the IP didn't use the Visual Editor, but the explanations were rather lackluster. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 23:26, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I can't think of a better way to word it other than that. If you want to, you're free to expand on it. Chlod (say hi!) 23:29, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
