What is not constructive? Many characters and storylines are created for the show. Actually the majority of the characters don't exist in the books like Kemen, Earien, Adar, the Cult, Bronwyn, Arondir, Theo, Waldreg, Elanor, Largo, Marigold, Poppy, Sadoc, Disa etc. That's more than half of main characters. Sauron didn't help make the elven rings which is big deviation from the books, Sauron also never pretended to be a human and didn't want Galdriel as his wife. Do i need to write more? Basically none of the storilines are in the books. Only the names of characters are the same as in the books. So adding that the series is loosely based on the novel and that it has many original characters and storilines is not my peronal opinion it is the truth. You erasing it is not constructive. 178.221.185.82 (talk) 12:00, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is not constructive because you have been reverted multiple times and keep making the same change, which is not allowed. Please take your concerns to the article's talk page, a section has already been created there to discuss this issue. - adamstom97 (talk) 12:06, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I already pointed out why i edited it and the information is correct. There are many sources. You also got reverted by other user so you comment is not valid. I'm not writing lies. And i'm not writing my personal opinion. 178.221.185.82 (talk) 12:12, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
On Wikipedia you don't get to just add whatever you want. Whether it is true or not is irrelevant. It needs to be supported by reliable sources. The fact that the series is based on The Lord of the Rings and its appendices is supported by the onscreen credits and other sources in the article. The writing section then discusses how that adaptation process worked. - adamstom97 (talk) 12:15, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please, Wikipedia is full of false information and you are bothered by one sentence. One other user attached sources and still got reverted. Let's have some common sense. 178.221.185.82 (talk) 12:26, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I should allow you to add nonsense to the article because Wikipedia is full of other nonsense? No, that is not how it works. If you want this change to be made, go to the article's talk page and gain consensus for your version with a convincing argument. And stop re-adding the change in the article, if you keep doing that you will be blocked. - adamstom97 (talk) 12:29, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The only nonsense here is you reverting the changes, things that are true and correct. Should i attach a link to Tolkien's books so you can check by yourself that these characters and storylines don't exist? Where is the freedom of speech? I get threatened to be blocked because i write non offensive sentence about a TV show that uses original characters and storylines? If it were incorrect or false i would understand but you either didn't read the books or really want to shut me up. I can provide links for the books that would be the best source then. And you said it doesn't matter if it is correct? Oh my God. 178.221.185.82 (talk) 12:37, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is no "freedom of speech" here, you don't have the right to put whatever you want on Wikipedia. - adamstom97 (talk) 12:46, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's not whatever i want, it's the truth. I wrote on the series talk page you can go, check and educate yourself. And stop threatening me. 178.221.185.82 (talk) 12:49, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't threatened you, I'm just explaining how things work here. You need to calm down. - adamstom97 (talk) 12:50, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You did by saying you will block me. The other user provided sources for what i wrote i also provided sources. I didn't use offensive language just added a sentence that is deemed as not constructive because someone doesn't like what i wrote. The series drastically deviated from the books. 178.221.185.82 (talk) 12:54, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is irrelevant, it is still based on them. - adamstom97 (talk) 12:56, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it is based on them, that's why i put loosely based and features original characters and storylines made just for the show. What is wrong there? 178.221.185.82 (talk) 12:59, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. It's not my personal opinion i provided links.
These are the link that prove that there are original characters in the show:
1. The Rings of Power Cast: Breaking Down All the Characters | TIME
2. Who's Who In Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power, New And Canon Characters Explained - GameSpot
These are that prove there are many original storylines:

3. How Faithful is Amazon’s Rings of Power to J.R.R. Tolkien’s Books? – Middle-earth & J.R.R. Tolkien Blog (xenite.org)
There is an article on wiki about a TV show called The fall of the house of Usher which was based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe but it clearly states that it is loosely based. It is the same as here. Being loosely based means it is based on the books but with many differences. Why does that bother you and why do i need to expalain to you like you are a 5 year old and i clearly provided sources. 178.221.185.82 (talk) 01:13, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
