Excuse if I'm not using this tool the right way. I have added reference, in Spanish, please check. Also reference in English, error in format. Can't correct, you deleted it. The source is there, no need to delete my content. You may correct format if you think it's necessary. Thanks in advance. I didn't know how to reach out. I hope this way works.

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons. Thank you. El_C 21:52, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Anti-Chilean sentiment, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 06:16, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Lawrence Vigouroux. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Lawrence Vigouroux is Chilean, whether he acquired his citizenship because "Chile it's known to give citizenship to good footballers" is irrelevant, that doesn't make him less of a Chilean. Also, his father is not of "Chilean descent", his father is Chilean. AtomsRavelAz (talk) 19:27, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Afro-Chileans; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.As I pointed out before, whether you think it is fair or not is irrelevant. They hold Chilean citizenship, they are of African descent (or from Africa), thus they are considered Afro-Chileans, regardless of the reason why they acquired that citizenship in the first place

All content on Wikipedia must be written from a neutral point of view. Pointing out that something is "unfair" or that they don't qualify "because they were given citizenship just because they are good football players" are completely subjective statements and definitely not "facts" as you stated before.

The list already points out in the parenthesis the ethnic background of the people on it. Whether they were naturalized, whether they were born in Chile to immigrants, etc. AtomsRavelAz (talk) 04:22, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
