Make sure the citations actually support the statements made. For example, one of the more obvious claims in this draft for WP:NACADEMIC notability would be the editorship of a "major, well-established academic journal" (#8), but the citations against that merely links to the journal's home page, not to any content actually verifying this. (Also, calling a journal "highly esteemed" does not make it so, and is peacocky.)
