Policy at Wikipedia is that disputes should either be resolved by discussion on Wikipedia or by legal means, but not both simultaneously - see WP:NLT. I, and I'm sure all (or, at least, nearly all) other Wikipedia editors, agree that your edit to the article was correct, but your talk page message was not.
