Information icon Hello, I'm Palindromesemordnilap. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to You Again have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Please do not add so many wikilinks (links to other Wikipedia pages). Please see WP:OVERLINK for guidance. palindrome§ǝɯoɹpuᴉןɐd 06:33, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Please refer to WP:OVERLINK palindrome§ǝɯoɹpuᴉןɐd 06:37, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at So Undercover, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Please refer to MOS:OL, MOS:DL palindrome§ǝɯoɹpuᴉןɐd 06:50, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A note on the warnings above

[edit]

I think the edits were actually just good faith edits by a new user (and they seem to be learning), so don't hold these warnings against them. palindrome§ǝɯoɹpuᴉןɐd 07:52, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! When I say "please check out the Manual of Style," this refers to the document here used to make sure Wikipedia has a consistent editorial style.

Part of this is that Wikipedia should not have too many links between Wikipedia articles.

  • Having links to common terms is referred to as "overlinking", so please stop introducing unneeded links for common terms
  • Having links to the same term multiple times in the same article in a close together way is known as "duplicate linking", so please stop introducing multiple links to the same page.

Thanks! palindrome§ǝɯoɹpuᴉןɐd 06:54, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).
