@Ferret: Hello, can you please explain why my IP was blocked for 2 years? Thank you. 38.42.127.10 (talk) 00:27, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You'll have to clarify. This IP is not, and never has been, blocked. -- ferret (talk) 00:38, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ferret Thanks for the quick reply. That’s strange. When I try to edit pages it says that my IP is blocked for a duration of 2 years, and that you are the user who blocked me. Here is an image for reference: https://ibb.co/HrgqQBn 38.42.127.10 (talk) 01:29, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps your mobile IP is range blocked. Sometimes we have to apply broad long term range blocks because of extremely disruptive users. Without knowing which IP is exactly involved, I don't know which one this is about, but I can promise you its with cause. The best solution would be to register an account, see Wikipedia:Request an account if you need help. -- ferret (talk) 01:44, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ferret I see. Thank you for the clarification. 38.42.127.10 (talk) 02:14, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm DreamRimmer. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Robert A. Brown, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DreamRimmer (talk) 09:32, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
