Information icon Hello, I'm Peaceray. Your recent edit(s) to the page Progressivism in the United States appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been removed for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Your change from "Some progressives" to "Progressives" implies that all progressives advocate eugenics. There is nothing in "Leonard 2005" to indicate this. Indeed, Leonard writes: "Eugenics found advocates whose ideologies spanned the entire political spectrum. The eugenics movement attracted some reactionaries and conservatives. Leading eugenicists, ..." Peaceray (talk) 16:45, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Progressivism in the United States. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. I pared back back your added language to match what is actually stated in "Retrospectives: Eugenics and Economics in the Progressive Era". Your phrase "whole heartedly endorsed" clearly overstates it. What (Leonard 2005) stated was "Eugenics won many advocates on the left, such as birth control advocate Margaret Sanger, ...". Please see MOS:WEASEL. Peaceray (talk) 16:49, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
