Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Worlds of Fun. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Your IP is changing, so this is your second warning. GoneIn60 (talk) 11:46, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Gold Striker, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Manual of Style

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions! As mentioned above, Wikipedia has a Manual of Style (WP:MOS) which editors should try to follow. A couple of issues I've noticed as I've run across your edits are:

  • The MoS, at MOS:OXFORD, allows for using "Oxford commas" or not. It's generally up to the first major contributor to the article, and it's suggested that articles using British English should use the Oxford comma. More importantly, though, the style should be consistent throughout an article (unless there is a good reason to depart from it).
  • Per MOS:DATE, an American-style date should have a comma before and after the year unless the year is already followed by other punctuation. E.g., "The concert on June 2, 2019, was covered by major newspapers".
  • Per MOS:UNITSYMBOLS, unit symbols should be separated from the (preceding) value by a non-breaking space, e.g., "it was 123.45 m high". This tells browsers to try to keep them together when displaying the page.
  • Per WP:ME, when making a minor, non-controversial edit (like punctuation changes), please check the "This is a minor edit" checkbox. This helps other editors filter out such changes from their watchlists and other reports if they choose to review such edits with lower priority (or not at all).
  • Per MOS:PUNCTSPACE, some editors choose to insert two spaces between punctuation and the start of the next sentence because they are used to writing that way. The parser generally compresses multiple consecutive spaces into one, so the resulting page still displays with only one space. Editing an article solely to insert or remove such spaces is discouraged.

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Metro Blue Line (Minnesota), you may be blocked from editing. This may be a minor misunderstanding on your part, but the changes you're making are creating unnecessary cleanup work for other editors. Please take the time to discuss. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Raven (roller coaster). GoneIn60 (talk) 20:11, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! ―Susmuffin Talk 23:16, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Six Flags Great Adventure

[edit]

Oxford comma is fine, and you added some unsourced material, so I had to revert your edit. I'm sure you made some improvements to the article, so feel free to re-add only those, and I'll approve them. Thanks --SacredDragonX (talk) 03:53, 29 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the MOS

[edit]

I see above that you have been told before to brush up on the WP:MOS, but judging from your recent edits you have chosen to ignore this advice. In particular, it would benefit you to study up MOS:TIME and WP:UNIT. If you keep ignoring these messages, you may be blocked from editing.
