You have to be aware that Smilodon was not a tiger (and specifically states so in the beginning of the article), that the marsupial lions were not even cats (or even placentals), and that prehistoric species do not belong on the IUCN Red List of extinct species, which only concerns species that have gone extinct in modern history, i.e., in the 20th and 21st Centuries.--Mr Fink (talk) 02:43, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
