Auto Europe[edit]

I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. All your references were to the company itself, clearly not an independent source, particularly when you are writing only about what they sell. Note that Youtube and social media are not acceptable sources
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic.
  • it's all about what the company sells, little about the company itself other than locations. How many employees? Turnover? Profits? Has the company ever received negative publicity? Who are its competitors?
  • Multiple external links to the company is spammy. One link to the main website please. Bolding what they offer is also spammy (and unsourced
  • Examples of claims presented as fact but without independent sources include: is one of the largest car rental wholesale companies in the world... to assist American clients with renting vehicles all over Europe... offers luxury and sport vehicles... to better serve their worldwide destinations... giving travelers detailed explanations of car models that are often unfamiliar to first time visitors to Europe — Note that you should use "sell" rather than"offer" unless they are doing it for free
  • Your user name and contributions suggest that you have a conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.

I'll restore the article here in a few minutes Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:12, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • One purely technical thing is that references should immediately follow punctuation, you have it the other way around
  • It still creates the wrong impression in that your article is still basically this is what we sell, these are our awards, these are our charities. For a company this size, you should be able to get something on its profits, number of employees, or any othere factual stuff that isn't just about what you sell
  • Similarly, if you are going to make a big thing of your awards, you need to balance it with criticism of the company
You can move the page to article space (don't cut-and-paste) at any time, but my feeling is that although it's better, you still need to make it more balanced to be sure of survival Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:54, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
