Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 10:15, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

the first user name was mistakenly added, the new username will be used to publish information about our organisation, the mistake was unfortunate and will not be repeated, every publication or edit made will be backed by solid evidence and data, kindly consider this appeal and unblock the user

Decline reason:

That username would also be inappropriate; see WP:USERNAME. We have no interest in what you wish to say about your organisation (or your clients). If this is your only goal here, this is the end of the line. Yamla (talk) 10:35, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to have my profile unblocked, as there is an urgent matter. what is the steps required to do it. ? please advice. AMS-agency (talk) 10:40, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What is the "urgent matter"? As Yamla notes, you won't be unblocked to edit about your company or clients and we have no interest in what you as their representative want to say about them. 331dot (talk) 10:41, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
the urgent matter is i have to update the information on my client's behalf. do i need to prove my authority to make the edit ? or is it completely impossible for me as a representative to make the edits? AMS-agency (talk) 10:44, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
WP:IDHT. We are not interested in you doing this. Wikipedia is not a business directory. Here, articles are written by neutral people with no conflict of interest. --Yamla (talk) 10:52, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia has no interest in your specific job duties or what you have been tasked with doing. Please read WP:BOSS for why we don't want you doing this. As noted, we don't want you editing about your clients, at least in the near future; if that is your only interest here, this is the end of the road. If you are interested in being a general contributor and editing about topics like Joe Biden or NATO or history or science, please tell us what. You'll have to tell you client that what they want is impossible, and if you are employed specifically to edit Wikipedia, I would suggest returning their money. 331dot (talk) 10:54, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What if the information about a specific organisation is wrong or need to be updated ?
what is the solution for that, if the organisation itself cannot edit the data about itself ?
How is it acceptable to have obsolete information about an organisation on Wikipedia ? AMS-agency (talk) 10:59, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia, while striving to be accurate, is not meant as a source of up to the moment current information. That's what the organization's website and social media accounts are for. Wikipedia is intended to provide an overview of the topic, summarizing what independent reliable sources choose to say about it. As Yamla said, articles here are typically written and updated by neutral people with no conflict of interest. You chose to dive right in and contribute without taking the time to learn our policies- that's on you, not us. We don't handhold paid editors. Now, that bridge is burned and you won't be permitted to make conflict of interest related edits. If you are interested in being a general contributor, and spend much time editing in other areas, demonstrating your knowledge of Wikipedia policies, there might be a time in the future when you are permitted to make COI related edits- but that is a long ways off, and won't be permitted anytime soon. So again, if you want to do nothing other than edit about your clients, this is the end of the road and there is nothing more to do here. 331dot (talk) 11:05, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
