Information icon Hello, I'm Longhair. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to User talk:Aaronvianno have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Longhair\talk 13:20, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I received your email. I was responsible for deleting your article due to the promotional tone used within. Your user talk page is not the place for creation of articles. That space is used for communicating with other editors. You have a sandbox available for any testing you wish to do, and also Draft space for creation of potential new articles. Any article on a company must meet this threshold for inclusion at Wikipedia. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Also, your userpage is also promotional and contains external links included I suspect with the intention of promoting an external website. -- Longhair\talk 13:37, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
A second glance at your user page, and I am happy to let that content remain. It's merely links to social media accounts, however your talk page was promotional and hence deleted. -- Longhair\talk 13:39, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Spot on. Press releases are a primary source. Secondary sources are sources such as external media coverage of the topic. When only primary sources exist, we find ourselves in "promotional" territory, hence the deletion of your article. I do apologise if you felt my deletion was abrupt, however as you could imagine Wikipedia receives promotional content quite often and it's often a case of cleanup then advise later. Any questions, I'm here... I suggest using my talk page or reply here to reach me. You'll get a faster reply that way and the conversation can be kept intact in one place. Happy editing. -- Longhair\talk 14:03, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
