License tagging for Image:IMAG0105 maddoch.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:IMAG0105 maddoch.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:05, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

I reverted your edit on the border collie page because the image rightly belongs in the gallery. We all think our dogs are the best by far, but the image doesn't add to the article at this point unless the image shows part of the anomaly. CMacMillan 19:37, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please remember that Wikipedia is not an image gallery and any images you add to an article should enhance its informativeness as an encyclopedia. Your recent addition failed to do this. thank you VanTucky 22:34, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
