Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Rochester, Minnesota, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hometown (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 19:56, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Material you included in the above article appears to have been copied from the copyright web page http://www.co.olmsted.mn.us/yourgovernment/pages/historyofolmstedcounty.aspx. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. The North

[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia and in particular to articles about United States history and Minnesota. Several of your recent edits about a marketing campaign to rebrand Minnesota as "The North" have been reverted. Please seek consensus on the talk pages of articles before reinserting disputed content, Thank you. Minnemeeples (talk) 14:41, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why? It’s factual. Who has vested you with authority? Acrschmelzer (talk) 14:56, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not claiming authority. Not all facts are relevant to an encyclopedia. Some facts are are trivial, give undue weight to a viewpoint, or reflect current events without considering larger or long-term views. Wikipedia editing is by consensus. Discussing disputed content on the talk page of an article is a way to avoid an edit war. Minnemeeples (talk) 15:27, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
