Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -MBK004 21:54, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No. NO!!!

Firstly, I would be very interested to read what your definition of "unconstructive" is. I merely stated a fact that needs addressing - that the overall level of English grammar and punctuation IS poor - nearly every page I view needs extensive proof-reading, copy-editing and rectification. Often, whole paragraphs read as total gobbledy-gook. There is a definite lack of quality control.

Secondly, I would be interested to know how a 20 year old could possibly have the judgement or wisdom to make such observations. It annoys me that you regard a perfectly legitimate observation as "vandalism". I think your reply contains an element of immaturity, and a lack of proper knowledge. There are reasons why Wikipedia lacks credibility amongst academics, and your assertion, or more accuratley your opinion, only helps to reinforce those sceptics.

I quote a line form Wikipedia's very own article on vandalism -

"Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism".

August 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Ricky Ponting, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
