Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.
Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

P.S. I like messages :-P
I fixed your AfD. You going to write the nomination now? CanadianCaesar The Republic Restored 06:14, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- The link in the AfD template is still red. Since I see you have never participated in an AfD before, this is how you do it. You click on the red link, write ===[[Dawnyell Alexander]]=== And beneath that write your reason for nominating, which in this case I presume would be that she is non notable, with 15 Google hits. Don't forget to sign (~~~~) and then add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dawnyell Alexander}} to the bottom of the latest day's AfD page; a link can be found on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. It's not right to leave a tag on an article without arguing why it should be deleted, and technically I could remove it, but in this case I happen to agree it should be deleted. - Thanks for the explanation, and sorry for not researching the AfD process before nominating this article. I'll write the nomination shortly. Adhall 08:10, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I added the link to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2006 January 31. CanadianCaesar The Republic Restored 08:32, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:I-drive logo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:I-drive logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:34, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
