You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Shamil Basayev. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Chaheel Riens (talk) 08:13, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
WikiProject Crime banner reinstated for Islam and domestic violence
[edit]Hi Akh of an akh,
I undid your recent edit to Talk:Islam and domestic violence because you removed the banner for Wikipedia:WikiProject Crime but didn't supply an edit summary for why you did this. If you have, or had, a good reason for taking this action, please discuss the problem on the talk page, first. Meanwhile, I have re-instated the banner and answered the B-class assessment questions that were preventing a B-class assessment being shown, on the off-chance this was the problem. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 09:42, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- Before I reinstate the WikiProject Crime banner a second time, please discuss why you removed the banner with the explanation that "This page has nothing related to "crime". This is a critical implication of that Islam promotes a "crime"" when the very concept of domestic violence is considered criminal and "of interest" to WikiProject Crime. The article talks about a number of things that I would consider crime related concepts, like a husband paying blood money in the event of killing his wife. I also note the article itself suggests that at least one scholar argues that "Shari'a law encourages "domestic violence" against women ..." I think your edit summary gives an inadequate explanation for removing the crime banner from a topic that I think is of significant interest to WikiProject Crime. Convince me why you think the article is not crime related. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 11:05, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
