Thanks for giving me something to ponder, Alan. As a cultural elitist, I would love to assign some sort of importance factor--assess the relative cultural, social, natural, scientific weight of a topic, and make a multiplying factor out of it. Pokemon, manga, porn stars... Let's face it, the sum of all human knowledge, strictly speaking, is immense, and most of it is trivial (for instance, the consciousness I have right now of the items in my fridge) even if it is verifiable (the actual contents, which I could take a picture of).
