Hello Declangi, Thank you for your answer. In the following I will try to explain my motives behind my contributions. I did not intend to violate common practices. I simply don't know them and it is hard for a newcomer to find a way through this established jungle of do's and don’ts. Not to mention the technical details to handle it. BTW: German and English versions are quite different to handle. And I am quite surprised that you can control both versions. For the mentioned mistake editing a picture above the toolbox, I can frankly say that it happened without my will or intention. It simply happened by uploading the picture. My motives for adding pictures to an already existing text were to make the text visually more attractive. I only added a picture when the text mentioned details such as leaves, fruits, stem or bark without any own picture of the author. I never added a competitive picture. In addition, my intention was not to overload the page, but to make it more explicable. Adding pictures to a stub was to make it more interesting for an interested author to add some botanical details verbally and to share my pictures with others interested in botany. Some of these plant details are not easy to get and it was sometimes luck and/or it took me some months or years to finally realize it. As you suggested, I will slow down my contributions - or stop it. I haven’t decided yet. My first contribution to Wikipedia in 2007 was so frustrating that I stopped until recently. Adding images

Hello Alialb, not constructive or disruptive means that you are editing contrary to accepted Wikipedia practice. For example for the warning above, you twice added an image before the Infobox/Taxobox. Nothing except special tags or warnings should go before this section.

You've been adding your own images at a rapid pace to many plant articles. Sometimes three or four extra images to a short article. I'm not sure that you're reading why some have been removed (check the edit summary under the "View history" tab). The fact that these are all your own images may lead editors to believe that you are not entirely objective about the suitability of these images for articles. Or editors may just have to remove all of them as cleaning them up takes time. Please start by reading WP:GALLERY and MOS:IMAGES for guidelines on image use in articles.

I encourage you to slow down a bit. Some of your images are very good. For example, in Latania verschaffeltii, I replaced the Infobox image with one of your images. You might consider adding no more than a single "best image" to an article for now. Declangi (talk) 23:59, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
