A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Allstars Kids Club, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Simon Parry 21:37, 12 September 2018 (UTC)we have removed any link to promotional content. Apologies- this is our first Wikki post and dont want to breach any issues - but keen to get a presence for our small organisation. Thanks,

The trouble is, you are here to promote your organization. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:00, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. We are not here to promote. I have looked at pages such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vauxhall_Motors - history, achievements and who they are. Thats all we would like to create. no links to products, no promoting anything we're doing - just how we started and who we are.
I will even enter new content in exactly the same was as the above company - who clearly is allowed and accepted on Wiki.
As mentioned - I am sorry the content we added was not following guidelines - but I would really value some dialogue to get this right and not a blanket 'you just want to d this"
Thanks for your time,

[edit]
Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Hi again,

I have just submitted a request that was declined immediately.

I tried to create a page back in 2018 an was blocked straight away by ‪Anna Frodesiak‬ I have appealed today and was blocked immediately by Yamla.

I'm pretty disappointed and upset as I have been offered no way to edit what was originally created or of way to explain how what we originally there was in error or ability to make a mends.

"As long as we have reason to believe that you will continue to behave in a promotional manner, the administrators of Wikipedia will be unable to unblock you, since this block is in place to prevent the disruption your promotional editing has caused” Yamla today.

I find that quite troubling - as thats making a judgement on me and what I will apparently do - when there has been no dialogue in this at all - simply a total ban. I dont want to be promoting anything simply a factual page about the company - isnt that what Wiki is? I have read many pages (Ford, vauxhall etc) and they clearly state who they, what they do , history etc.

Is the fact its a Christian post part of the issue? I hope thats not the case.

I have messaged and said I am at fault and made an error. I do not wish to in anyway abuse the rules - but would like to have some simple basic factual content about who we are on the internet.

Wiki's own website says that an apology is not needed - and once a lesson is learned then good will should be used. I have admitted to being at fault and I have not appealed since 2018.

I would really appreciate some dialogue here and an opportunity to edit/re upload the content on our page that’s in-line with WIKIs guidelines without assumptions and accusations thrown at me of what I will or wont do.

But at present it went let me enter more details on an appeal and the page simply seems to be blocked without any support, dialogue or care.

I appreciate your time.

Regards

Decline reason:

You have not proposed a new username. Your religion or the religion of your organization is not germaine to this matter. You seem to have a common misunderstanding about the purpose and goals of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a place for organizations to tell the world about themselves. That is considered promotional here. A Wikipedia article about an organization must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the organization, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable organization. Wikipedia has no interest in what an organization says about itself, only in what others completely unconnected with the subject choose to say about it, and not based on materials from the organization like press releases or announcements. Please read WP:COI and WP:PAID. You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your organization. If that is your only interest here, this is the end of the road. If you want to be a general contributor and edit about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what. I would also suggest reading WP:ORGFAQ. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 16:51, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
