Luka EV[edit]

Hi, I have created the MW Motors Luka EV article. After I did this I noticed you had already created Draft:LUKA EV. Perhaps we should combine our efforts in the MW Motors Luka EV article. To be taken seriously, we need references from sources not directly linked to the manufacturer - eg magazine articles.  Stepho  talk  14:04, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stepho-wrs, I would be happy if you wrote the article. The LUKA EV blog is a treasure trove of info. In my attempt, I did try to reference external links like AMPER, WAVE 2015, a link to a TV slot about the car etc. There are also a lot of external references at https://hackaday.io/project/5066-luka-ev/log/17900-special-thanks-in-the-media MW Motors is not a company so the title might be better served as just LUKA EV. MW motors is a blog name to describe the various open source projects. Can you let me know if you get this message before I write more?..Altmoney (talk) 18:54, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stepho-wrs, My draft was rejected. I am not familiar enough with Wiki to write correctly. Suggest you take any useful info in the draft for your article. Other than the media links above, there is not much known about Luka. It was nominated for the e car tech award in 2015. http://www.ecartec.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/eCarTec-Award-Yearbook-Web.pdf http://www.ecartec.com/press-informations-en/ecartec-award-2015-for-electric-mobility-expert-jury-announces-nominees/

No version of Luka has ever been independently tested. It has never appeared at a motor show. The project always focused on building a car not marketing a car. There is a lot of information in the blog about the costs involved with independent testing of any sort. The car appeared at public events only if invited to appear on a free of charge basis. For example, it is noted that the car appeared at AMPER Brno on the invitation of the Czech electric vehicle association & at their cost.

There is a technical error in your entry. You state range as 148km. In fact 148km/h is the top speed. The range is 300km on a charge. There is no independent verification of this or any other facts about LUKA EV. There are no records of any official press releases. The majority of articles available about LUKA seem to be based on an article on the hackaday.com site http://hackaday.com/2015/04/30/hackaday-prize-entry-building-a-car-from-scratch-out-of-foam/

I have only ever written one tiny article at Wikipedia & it was years ago. I am not familiar enough with the site or the editing features to enable me to write an article. Given the quality of your entry it is apparent that you are very familiar with the Wikipedia editing tools. I do not even know if you get this message as I am not familiar with the talk feature.
