Speedy Deletion (related)
[edit]A tag has been placed on David Donoho, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seraphimblade 20:42, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

My edits
[edit][1] When you delete parts of articles, you should use the edit summary box for an explanation. Otherwise it may appear like vandalism. Gimmetrow 03:37, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.
Before you add further material to the article on Alyssa Milano, please read other articles on celebrities to get a better feel for what the preferred style is. This is not a fan page; it is an information page. Thank you. DS 17:02, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Jamie Najera Article (related)
[edit]Your additions are a little bit closer, but not quite there yet. Some things that would be necessary for this article to stay:
- Third party sources -- has she been interviewed by a newspaper or magazine about her charity?
- verifiability Although what you say about her is probably true, its more important that its verifiable -- is there a website for her charity or resteraunt? Have the figures about the money she's raised been made public and published by a third party source? (see: Wikipedia:Reliable sources.)
- Things that assert her notability -- has she done anything unique, been recognized by her community through awards or other honors? Is her charity the first of something, the biggest of something, the only of something?
This woman, without a doubt, seems like a really great person, but without the things I list above, she just may not qualify for a Wikipedia article. Cheers. Dina 18:57, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, it was speedily deleted, you can check the log here. The reason given was CSD-A7. That means reason 7 on the list of reasons why an article can be speedily deleted. Reason 7 states: "# Unremarkable people, groups, companies and web content. An article about a real person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject. If the assertion is controversial or there has been a previous AfD, the article should be nominated for AfD instead. Note: Avoid the word "vanity" in deletion summaries since it may be considered insulting.".
- I think no matter what you did, there didn't seem to be anything about this article that would have satisfied that criteria, sometimes people are just not notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Dina 20:46, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Essentially, yes, that's what thay means. It's been deemed inappropriate for Wikipedia and deleted. Frankly, as I said above, I agree with that decision -- this person is not notable enough for an article. You could try contacting the admin who deleted it (visible on the deletion log) and asking if they will "userfy" a copy of it for you -- give it to you in your userspace. Then you could work on it there. However, reposting of deleted material is generally frowned upon, so if you decide to do that, please let me take a look to make sure its not just going to get deleted again. And give WP:BIO a closer read. Cheers Dina 21:32, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

"Emily Jamierelle Paxton"
[edit]How do you know that that is her birth name? Do you have a source? Mad Jack 18:17, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

"Niecole Barnett" Related
[edit]Please don't create pages that are simply an excuse to insult living people. Look at WP:BLP. Even though the page was in your userspace, I have deleted it. We've talked before about writing about people that you know on Wikipedia. This page was just full of insults and personal opinions. That is not acceptable, please don't do it again. Cheers. Dina 16:18, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Dina was correct in asking you not to make pages such as User:Alyssacarmillo/Niecole Barnett. Attack pages are not allowed. It is not reasonable to ask someone to stay in your own business on Wikipedia as it is a public site.
I will direct you to our civility and No personal attacks policies. The page Dina was objecting to and your response were both in violation of these ideals we hold ourselves to. HighInBC19:43, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
It may be difficult to understand, but I am actually trying to help you here. Wikipedia has rules about what content can be created. Writing about people you know, especially mean, insulting pages, is against the rules. Pages of that sort get deleted on sight. That's just how it goes. It really isn't personal at all. Cheers. Dina 20:38, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Before Adding Another Section
[edit]Before you add another section,I would like to keep a rather neat user talk page,so please put your comment under the appropriate section.Try not to create another section, please (I know it might be tempting!).I have dited and moved comments into sections and I do not want to do that again.
User:Alyssacarmillo
[edit]It seems that your user page is considered invalid.Insulting pages are not appropriate on a community site, like Wikipedia. If you do not agree with what I am saying, please contact another skilled Wikipedian and have them look.Cheers. JakeTheBlake 03:50, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
