Bibiana Fernández

[edit]

Hi! I wanted to give you a little bit of feedback on your work on Bibiana Fernández. The work looks good, I only have two things to really mention. The first is that you used IMDb as a source - this can't be used as a reliable source on Wikipedia because quite a lot of the content on the site is user submitted. They're also not the greatest at verifying the content that's posted, so they're not considered to be all that reliable. As an example, someone actually managed to add themselves to the IMDb page for Captain America: Winter Soldier (a huge blockbuster with a ton of media attention), claiming that they were going to be She-Hulk. Something like that would seem like it would be quickly seen as a hoax before it was even added, but it still made it into the page. The reason to be careful with sourcing is that with biographies of living people it's important to make sure that all of the sourcing is very reliable. With Fernández it becomes a little more vital because she's a transgender person and as such, her article is classified as one that would likely be considered controversial. (That's the second note.)

Other than that, this looks good and her article definitely needed some expansion - hopefully there's more out there so it can be expanded further in the future. The Spanish language Wikipedia entry has more info, if you're interested. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:22, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
