The article Ascesnsion Missionary Baptist Church has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Promotional piece for a local church which shows no evidence of notability. Searches did not turn up enough to pass WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 13:56, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi. I moved the article back to your sandbox. As it stands, it isn't ready for mainspace. Any article in Wikipedia needs to be supported by reliable sources that are independent on the subject. That means that you need use sources that aren't connected to the church itself. They also need to be high quality sources - at the very least, newspaper accounts that talk about the church in some depth (not just passing mention of events at the church or something like that).
- In addition, everything in the article needs to be supported by inline sources. You need to have at least one source per paragraph (if it supports all the content in the paragraph) and there can't be any content after the final citation in a paragraph.
- Finally, remember that you're writing an encyclopedia article. Don't list events at the church, don't list individual ministries of the church. You can discuss them, using third party sources, in appropriate sections. But don't list them and what they do - that's not what an encyclopedia entry is for.
