In your first translation, you can replace the lower case "g" in guadeloupean with a capital letter. It's needed with nationalities.
Then, here are the few points you can correct or try to reformulate :
- in the middle of 1800 : since there is the word "middle" before the year, I would rather use the determinate the. In + year is okay of course.
- after the slavery abolition : I would say after the abolition of slavery
- bred : bread
- without yeast at this time : at that time
- has became : has become
