Disulfiram and Betel chewing

[edit]

Welcome to WikiPedia, Anandahd! I just wanted to alert you to a couple of things about your contribution at the Disulfiram page. First, though your observation sounds fascinating, it is important to provide a reliable medical source, such as a review article or at least a peer-reviewed publication in a reputable journal. Second, your use of a signature is laudable, but we don't sign entries in articles; rather, we sign what we say in Talk space like here on your talk page. If you have any questions, most should be answered by following the links above, but feel free to ask me or any other wikipedian! It's great to have you here, contributing to Wikipedia! -- Scray (talk) 14:20, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What you describe is original research, which is not encyclopedic. I have looked for a reliable source to support your observations, but have been unable to find one. So, this may be something to consider publishing in a peer-reviewed journal, where it might be quite useful to others. Once there, it might find its way into Wikipedia; however, Wikipedia is not the place to report a new observation. -- Scray (talk) 02:53, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Disulfiram and Beetle Chewing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This appears to be original research, and is therefore unsuitable for Wikipedia.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
