[edit]Hello, I'm Girth Summit. I noticed that you recently removed content from Abimbola Fernandez without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. From a quick look at the material you removed, it appeared to be properly sourced. Please could you explain your concerns with the material on the article's talk page, so that we can understand why you want to remove that content? I'm afraid that 'was issued a cease and desist' doesn't really give enough context to understand the issue. Thanks GirthSummit (blether) 21:02, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Please do not add defamatory content to Wikipedia, as you did to Abimbola Fernandez, especially if it involves living persons. Thank you. S0091 (talk) 21:07, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Abimbola Fernandez, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. GirthSummit (blether) 21:39, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Abimbola Fernandez shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Discussion re Abimbola Fernandez
[edit]Hi - I've given you a couple of templated warnings above, because your editing is disruptive and will likely lead to your account being blocked from editing if you continue. I already asked you to start a discussion on the article talk page in my first message, rather than persist with changing it directly. I hope we will be able to have that discussion here.
The information you are removing seems to me to be neutrally presented and factual. The text explicitly states that the music videos portray fictional scenes; furthermore, criticism of the videos in the press is mentioned in the following sentence. Unless it is your contention that these videos never existed, or that they were entirely inconsequential in the career of the subject of the article, I can't see any reason for the removal of the content; even if one of those is your contention, you are required to discuss your concerns, rather than repeatedly attempt to remove the content after being reverted.
I recognise that you are new here, and not familiar with our editing practices. Please take the chance now to step back and discuss these changes, rather than pursue an edit war. The article has a talk page, on which you can start a conversation, explaining why you believe the material needs to be removed. Please do so. GirthSummit (blether) 21:46, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
