Removed or destroyed public art

[edit]

Removing these from the page and listing here just in case

  • Dancing Figures[1][ http://www.ourstevenage.org.uk/content/topics/stevenage_sculptures/abstract-by-dick-fowler], Webb Rise/Archer Road/Lonsdale Road, 1965, Dick Fower. Removed 1985 due to vandalism
  • Pride in Our Town, Mosaic, Opposite 58-60 Queensway, Removed in 2017 with refurbishment of the area
  • Viking Longboat - a William Mitchell mosaic on the then-Longship pub on the ground floor of Southgate House, destroyed by builders when the offices were redeveloped
  • Fish[2][3], Elm Green Shopping Centre, 1962, Mark Harvey, destroyed by fire?
  • Monster, Chertsey Rise, c. 1963, Mark Harvey, no longer exists (rotted away?)

There are others but I discovered they were removed at the same time I discovered they ever existed so not included them at this time. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 18:09, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
