May 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page 1989 do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Mkeranat (talk) 10:38, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia.--Hu12 (talk) 10:40, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This blocked user's request to have autoblock on their IP address lifted has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request.

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Angelczek". The reason given for Angelczek's block is: "Spamming links to external sites".

Decline reason: You have been blocked directly as stated in your block log. Since you have not provided a reason for being unblocked, your request has been declined. You may provide a reason for being unblocked by adding {{unblock | your reason here}} to the bottom of your talk page, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.  Sandstein  20:16, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The reason I was blocked was because I supposedly linked to a non licensed site when in accuality we do have a license. I can provide the contract we have we intellivision.Angelczek (talk) 00:57, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

The reason why I was blocked was because I posted an external link to unlicensed material when in fact we have a 3 year contract with Intellivision which I can provide.

Decline reason:

You were blocked for adding links to your website - have a look at WP:SPAM.— PhilKnight (talk) 01:06, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I am not spamming. I followed the guidelines as listed in the WP:EL. We have licensed copywrited material which are trying to make available to the wiki users.

Decline reason:

It is clear that you do not understand the spam rules. A look at your contribution history indicates that your only interest in Wikipedia is promoting your web site, and that you have no interest in helping to write the encyclopedia. Your unblock requests indicate that, if unblocked, you would continue spamming. Therefore, you will not be unblocked. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:10, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have made contributions to a couple of the years in music pages and have stopped in order to resolve the alleged spamming issue. Angelczek (talk) 21:42, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Reviewing your contributions reveals few, if any, substantial contributions. Almost all of your edits are external links for the site indicated as a reason for your block. I see no evidence that you understand the nature of this block, or that you are willing to contribute positive to the encyclopedia. I have protected this talk page to prevent further abuse of unblock requests. --Kinu t/c 22:01, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Drum Channel, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Drum Channel (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

File permission problem with File:Shawn Amos.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Shawn Amos.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Steel1943 (talk) 21:34, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
