How am I disrupting the page while I am adding information Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 04:42, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You can't remove sourced contents. --Sreeram Dilak (talk) 04:44, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I did not remove sourced content Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 04:46, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I understand now Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 04:47, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The content you added has no supporting citation. --Sreeram Dilak (talk) 04:47, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But I felt my edits added more information for users. How can I keep my edits? Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 04:48, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It may, but you can't save an edit without proper citation. See WP:REF. All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution. Sreeram Dilak (talk) 04:56, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The only source that was removed was not related to the content. I edited the article based on the paper bert model was published with. As I specialize with machine learning I felt article needed more information. If needed I will add citations. If you have problem with the content you can dispute. But reverting all of my work based on no background information is unprofessional Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 04:58, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also, not all sentences can be cited. If I need more citation then I can add. But the citation that I removed was improper and irrelevant work the text. It should have been removed before. Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 04:59, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You are not supposed to add any information without reliable sources. If anybody save any edit without reference, it should be reverted. And it's not unprofessional, that's Wikipedia's criteria. Nobody can add any information without reference. Thanks, --Sreeram Dilak (talk) 05:08, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

One cannot refer every sentence Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 05:13, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you are not expert in the subject, you should not be in charge of deciding what edits can be done. I would appreciate someone with related backgrounds to be in charge of reverting edits. Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 05:14, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The only reference I removed was improper citation. I can add citation as the whole page was based on original paper by Google AI Anjana.tiha.2018 (talk) 05:18, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What you are saying is invalid. What I'm talking about is you can't add any paragraph without reference. See, [[1], [2], [3] and you can't remove anything from this project without proper explanation in the edit summary box (see, what you did [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/1039009177?diffmode=source here).

I've the right to revert any edit without proper sources. Thank you --Sreeram Dilak (talk) 06:03, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Anjana.tiha.2018! Your additions to BERT (language model) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:42, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
