Studies as sources

Hi! I just wanted to give you a head's up about studies. These are seen as primary sources for the claims and research created by its authors, so it will need a secondary source that mentions or covers the study in a way that helps validate its claims. The publisher for the journal only checks to make sure that there aren't any glaring, obvious errors or inconsistencies with the research and otherwise just helps with the flow, grammar, and spelling of the writing. It doesn't actually verify whether or not the claims are correct, just that it isn't obviously false or problematic. The secondary source also helps justify highlighting the study over other, similar studies as well.

I just wanted to give you a head's up about this since the article is about a fairly controversial topic (to say the least) and as such, the sourcing needs to be on point. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:05, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
