Speedy deletion of Anthony Meyer (entrepreneur)

This is not a self-promotion page. I have not completed the entering of footnotes and references will substantiate everything written here. This individual has played a significant role in the history of U.S. real estate, has participated in key innovations (i.e., healthcare reform) that are changing the way the country's largest employers (i.e., Ford, Chrysler, Wal-mart) hire and provide health coverage for their employers, and he is the son of one of the original Madison Avenue advertising CEO's and recent nominee to Carl Icahn's "Yahoo" BOD.

There are some links to his corporate site as a point of reference, but most footnotes and references will be to other highly reputable sources, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and other sites of integrity.

Deletion of your user page/autobiographical article

I speedy deleted the article on your user page for a couple of reasons. While well written, I did not see a single verifiable or reliable source in the whole thing (although there was an abundance of external links in the body, a practice best kept to a minimum in a WP article.) You say you will add such sources but sources for an article that long shouldn't be the last thing added to it. In one sense, it seemed like an elaborate résumé rather than a neutral article on the subject.

Also, given the user name you are editing under, I strongly suspect you have a conflict of interest in creating this article. Autobiographical articles are strongly discouraged due to the "many prolonged disputes about the significance, factual accuracy, and neutrality of such articles." Article meets all Wikipedia criteria

I am not Anthony Meyer. I have worked for him, but I am not him. So, it is not autobiographical. His email is listed here so that he can receive information about what happens with this entry, and to ensure that all facts entered are correct. I actually intend to enter information about his father once I am done with him, as they both represent two important generations in U.S. finance, and his father, in the marketing industry....he is one of the original "Madmen".

I thought the userpage was a page we could use as our own personal sandbox for editing purposes. This page is not available in a search for "Anthony Meyer" and thus is not exposed to Wikipedia visitors, which was my intent. I never intended to make it available until all sources are posted.

I have never known anyone to compose a piece with the sources and footnotes *first*. To do that using Wiki code would take far too long, as the coding makes editing the plain text so incredibly difficult. Therefore, I waited to have the piece mostly composed before inserting references. Again, I did this assuming that this page could not be searched yet, and going by the Wiki instructions which say to use the userpage as my own personal sandbox, so that I don't post anything inappropriate. I was simply following Wiki instructions.

Anthony Meyer, and those with whom he has close affiliation, represent a major trend in U.S. history, one that happens to be pivotal to the country now and for the foreseeable future. It is possible that someone without experience in these industries would be unaware of this, so if someone with credentials in finance or real estate or healthcare were to make a judgement that this individual and the events he has set into play are not "notable," then we would have a discussion. However, there can be no argument as to the notability here. And since this is not autobiographical, then there are no other violations to discuss.

If it reads as a resume, I can edit that. I will take another look to remove sections that suggest a resume. However, I would argue that any listing on Wikipedia about any person still alive reads like a resume. If the absence of sources/footnotes is the only key point, I will have that resolved in due course.

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:AthonyEMeyer-Headshot.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
