Those links were absolutely not for advertising or for promotional purposes, they were to pages where nothing is purchaseable in the present or future, and those pages added amazing photography for context on the items being discussed. Those pages contain the best photos of those items on the internet, and vastly enhance the Wikipedia learning experience. At no stage was there any commercial connection to those links nor would I benefit if there was. That's the truth.
If you took a monment to check the photos you would see they are vastly superior to anything linked here wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:LinkSearch?target=ima-usa.com and in fact that company spams a DVD from their page wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Military_Antiques so to be fair this is not equitable treatment or fair consideration of the content itself. You clearly did not verify the quality of the contextual content being added. AntiquesCollector (talk) 13:53, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the heads up I have removed the spam from International Military Antiques. Theroadislong (talk) 13:58, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You completely missed the point, all the link here are the same as the one I posted except with inferior photos wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:LinkSearch?target=ima-usa.com
We don't want them removed. They are helpful. We want them intact. We the users. Example take a look at the photos here https://militaryantiquestoronto.com/product/ww2-canadian-sten-gun-long-branch-1943-dated-dewat/
Those photos illustrate the uniqueness of the Canadian Sten manufactured at Long Branch which is important information about the Sten Gun to people who care about the details. Those are the best photos available and they greatly enhance the Wikipedia page and experience. Nothing purchasable is on tha page nor is it posted for the hope of "selling a sten gun", nor would I benefit from that even if it was. As you can see the photos have massive educational value that is not available anywhere else. That's why I added the reference. And 100% of your page users would upvote that. AntiquesCollector (talk) 14:06, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please explain your use of the first perosn plural pronoun "we". 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:18, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And there is no such thing as "upvoting" on Wikipedia we are an encycloaepdia not Reddit. Theroadislong (talk) 14:21, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Again you've completely missed the point, i.e. if you ask users of that page 100% will upvote (use any word you like to symobolize approval) the links. We love those links. Removing them decreased the value of Wikipedia. AntiquesCollector (talk) 14:25, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"We the users"? Means we the people who use that page. People in the military collecting hobby, ask anyone 100% of eollectors will upvote those links. They vastly enhance the experience and no one wants them gone. We the users love those links, they make Wikipedia better. AntiquesCollector (talk) 14:24, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You cannot speak for anyone except yourself. Please do not seek to do so. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:27, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ALL the spam links here [1]] shold be deleted, I have made a start. Theroadislong (talk) 14:28, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Spam is unsolicited commerical messaging. That never occurred here in any instance. Your ongoing insistance on misuing the word clearly indicates some deep personal bias. No point in debating that. AntiquesCollector (talk) 14:32, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Spam for an explanation of the meaning with regards to Wikipedia articles. Theroadislong (talk) 14:45, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So you want to attack my semantics on "upvote" then escape semantic scrutiny on your misuse of "spam"? Rodger. Got it. I understand where you are coming from now. Thank you. AntiquesCollector (talk) 14:47, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Absolulely I can. If you spent anytime in our community you would understand the consensus. The fact that you challenge it proves how incredibly unsuitable you are to manage content for them. Your challenge of that consensus is absurd vis-a-vis reality so there's value to pursuing this. AntiquesCollector (talk) 14:29, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That is absolutely untrue. I joined after those edits. Please stick to the truth. AntiquesCollector (talk) 14:27, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
These two edits were made today [2] and [3] Theroadislong (talk) 17:28, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely untrue. No edits were made after registering. That's a lie. AntiquesCollector (talk) 17:30, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I merely stated that those two edits were made today, (possibly before you registered), it shows you spamming the same website. Theroadislong (talk) 17:44, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely not. I have never spammed. Your continued need to contact me to reiterate that clearly reveals some deep mental issue. It's beyond my scope man. You have variously lied, manipulated, etc. I want no further part of your show sir. Peace and love. AntiquesCollector (talk) 17:46, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
