Speedy deletion nomination of ¡Arcadia!

A tag has been placed on ¡Arcadia! requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. article restore request

I've replied at Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion/Current_requests#.C2.A1Arcadia.21 about restoring the article, but I'm putting a fuller explanation of the issues here for you.

The short answer is that restoring a page about your band that's been deleted four times and now is protected against recreation is outside of the scope of WP:REFUND. At this spot, if you think you can create an encyclopedic article that shows how the band meets the notability requirements of WP:MUSIC (more later on why you shouldn't do this), the best way to do this is as a subpage of your userpage, at User:ArcadiaBand/¡Arcadia!. This will give you much more, but not unlimited, time to develop the article. Once you get it to a spot where it will pass WP:MUSIC, put an {{adminhelp}} tag on your talk page (note the curly brackets) and ask an admin to look it over and move it for you.

The welcome message you got above has some very good links on how to write an article that will stick around, and other ins and outs of Wikipedia. One important one to read is WP:CIVIL. I'm sure you're frustrated at this spot, but calling people dicks is not a good way to get them to do what you want. Just saying.

So on to the issue of conflict of interest, user names, and sock puppetry. Your user name is problematic (see Wikipedia:USERNAME#Company.2Fgroup_names) and normally would be blocked on sight. To avoid increasing your frustration, instead of blocking you I'm going to ask that you immediately follow the directions at Wikipedia:Changing username and change to an acceptable user name. The user name also indicates it's likely you have a conflict of interest in writing an article about this band. If you are a member of the band, or very closely associated with the band, it will probably be impossible for you to write in a neutral, unbiased way about the band. Even if you could manage it, your username will continually make people view the article with suspicion. Also, you and Arcadia666 (talk · contribs) are making very similar edits at the same time on the same article -- I'd also suggest a read of Wikipedia:Sock_puppetry#Meatpuppets.
