Thanks for uploading Image:Amirambarkai1967.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:A.I.Barkai.67.JPG. The copy called Image:A.I.Barkai.67.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 10:45, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Amiram Barkai[edit]

Hi...I am curious why you removed certaiun elements from the page of Amiram Barkai? Thank you...I am knew to this and am curious as to what the guidlines are.

Sure. I believe that Dr. Barkai is notable by Wikipedia standards, as per the 1st and 2nd critera of WP:PROF (subject is noted as a signficant expert in his/her field). Based on your username, I presume that you are Ariel Barkai, son of Dr. Barkai, which many Wikipedian's will consider a conflict of interest. This doesn't necessarily mean that the article will be deleted, but it does mean that you need to be careful. I took it upon myself to clean up the article a little bit, by correcting the wiki links to other pages throughout the article, and a little bit of copyediting to help make the page stand out a little bit. I reformatted the opening paragraph as recommended by WP:NAMES and the section on academic names, which states "Academic and professional titles (such as "Doctor" or "Professor") should not be used before the name in the initial sentence or in other uses of the person's name. Verifiable facts about how the person attained such titles should be included in the article text instead". You mention the doctorate in the 4th paragraph, so I felt that this fullfilled the guideline. If you wanted to add a sentence about the doctorate in the first paragraph, that would be fine as well. The other major change was to remove a few sentence about your father's personal life from the end of the article. Like I said, your father is notable for being an expert in his field - you generally do not want to include other information that doesn't support the rest of the article (he may like boating, but boating isn't what makes him notable. I'm sure that George W. Bush likes cookies, but it doesn't say so in his article). For future editing, you'll want to familiarize yourself with these guidelines: WP:V, WP:RS WP:COI,WP:BIO, and WP:BLP. In particular, this article needs some good third-party sources about your father, especially about his work in the field of arachidonic acids, which is what makes him notable. Good luck, and please feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. - CosmicPenguin (Talk) 04:21, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you...like I said I am knew to this. In the link on his works it can trace his links to the study of arachidonic acids. I hope nobdy finds any conflicts here. I just wanted to write about my dad and think I levied an unbiased assement. Again, thanks for reading and editing it.

Unspecified source for Image:Amirambarkai1967.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Amirambarkai1967.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:04, 22 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shell babelfish 02:04, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure how to do it...so I put "GNU Free Documentation License"...is that correct? Thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ariel.barkai (talkcontribs) 03:25, August 22, 2007 (UTC).

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sean Hannity. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Sean Hannity. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you.Asher196 (talk) 13:20, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
